Final Artcle

This is a Bus Stop. 
This Bus Stop does look strange.    
  Why would they use a bus,     
wouldn't they need it?      
I guess they did not need 
it because they used 
for something else
 instead of recycling 
but in a good way .
It does look very creative.
I have never seen one 
like this before.
 Would this be what bus 
stops now 
will always look like?
 I wonder ?       

The disadvantages of  the bus stop could be that 
no one uses that particular bus stop. 
They should make those sort of bus stops everywhere. 
He weather could destroy it, 
cover could be a pioritie. 

I think the bus stops advantages could be that people love it, think 
it is very creative and start stopping there for there bus, or on purose booking that
bus so thy can admire.

STUCK!

On Monday, we watched a really funny movie about 2 people who get stuck on an escalator. Have you seen it?

   

Here is the version that my group made. Hope you like it.

We think that we can relate the message in this movie to our learning...Its like being stuck in our learning, we need to ask for help and we need to look for ways to solve the problem ourselves. We thought it would be fun to make our own movie to get this message across. We had 2 groups of criteria for our movie...

Big Idea:

Criteria: (Content)
  • Video - 30 seconds long, time is limited. 
  • Scenario - Show someone being stuck and not using the ability to act. 
  • Clear Message - Short sharp clip. Can the watcher get the point of your video?
  • Unique - Coming up with something funny that gets a laugh from others. 
  • Time Passing - Do you need to show time passing in your clip to emphasise your message. 

Criteria: (Movie)
  • Light - Make sure the sun isn’t creating a hard to see clip. 
  • Voice Volume - Needs to be louder than other background volume eg Noise, Kids.
  • Frame - What’s in the frame to make your message obvious. 
  • Steady Hands - Make sure the camera is still. 
  • Individual Clips - Don’t do one continuous shot of 30 seconds. Make a range of short clips and join together. 
Feedback/Feedforward:  I think that it was very funny when Olivia got stuck in tree. But the camera wobbled a bit when Rosalind came in and asked Olivia if she needed help. Georgia!!!

Swimming

Description: RSS has started swimming again. We had a buddy to video us doing the main strokes. We looked back at our video and we made our goal by looking back.


Get better at my breathing/Make sure I have my head sideways not up looking at the sky. I would like to achieve this goal by swimming sports. I will know when I have achieved this goal because I will get in the top 3 for breaststroke or freestyle.

Evaluation: I think that I have acheived my goal by swimming sports because I watched myself swim. I also came first because I also worked hard on getting faster. Next time I will work on a different goal and this will be a more challenging one.

Maths Testing

Description: We have been doing maths tests through the past few days. We did Stage 4 first, I passed! Next was Stage 5, it was a little bit harder, But I still passed. Today, 12/02/2015 I did stage 6. In all the tests we had to pass 80 percent. I did it. I was able to pass. I was really happy. The pink is what I need to work on and the yellow is what I got right. after doing the test we had to go over the parts we got wrong and do the same kind of questions. Here are all the tests that I did.

First time I got 94%
Secondly I got 84%
Thirdly I got 84%

Remember going out into the cold windy air, pegs scattered the ground?, in my hand was an ice-cream container, pegs were lined up in a neat row. I gave it to mum for my first baking gift.

Remember baking my first cake in the kitchen, Sifting the flour, then suddenly poof?

That was me growing up.
