Hangi Poster

W.A.L.T: Create a Poster
We had to make a poster. Our question was: How Does A Hangi Cook Our Food?
Science Behind the It: The rocks get the heat from the fire. The rocks release the heat from them and starts cooking the food. The sacks are the insulator that go over top. If there is a hole in the sacks the food will get cold. It is called the insulator. When you put the rocks in the fire the fire heats the rocks up. It is called Conduction because two objects are jammed together. Conduction is the transfer of energy through matter from particle to particle. For example, a spoon in a cup of hot soup becomes warmer because the heat from the soup is conducted along the spoon.
